Sweet SAMPAT friends… *grins*

Last monday, i had a panic attack/nervous breakdown or whatever you call it when you can’t seem to be able to do anything and you just feel absolutely lost and suffocated with stuff at the same time…

mandy said i looked lost and actually i did feel lost, i couldn’t concentrate on what i was studying while my coursemates were busy trying to answer questions from the lecturer…

i was worrying about 2 test and one presentation on tue and the big presentation on wed… i was also wondering whether i shud go for the interview on Pesta TiongHua on wed…

my friends were absolutely enthusiatic about it while i was a bit reluctant to do so as i’m very tired of projects and they way they are run, i didn’t want to get myself into busyness and stress… Talked to a senior about it and he said that it’s full of pressure and it’s up to me to decide… i was at sahur when everything was so choked up inside of me… Funny Senior asked me why i was so ‘fan’ about PTH(Pesta TiongHua) which actually i need not be… but i just couldn’t help it.. i felt really bogged down by everything….

After talking to Senior Kin at Sahur, i still wasn’t ok… Louise asked how many percent of stress and i said 80%… After Funny Senior and Miko left, i told Louise i felt like crying and she said to cry… i haven’t done so before and i was a bit apprehensive to do so… in the end, it rained in my world and Louise’s shoulder was there for me to lean on( i think i heard a part of this sentence a LONG LONG time ago)… After raining, i felt much better, told Louise the reasons why i wasn’t okay… basically outloaded everything in the open… about my dislikes in politics and how 3rd residential coll seems to have the bulk load of it… about the email i received and the decision i might need to make which as of NOW, am NOT gonna make… *sorry if i’m not making sense*

After all the outloading, she asked me how much left, 30%…

Decided that i’m not gonna study anymore that nite and well yea, just sleep… Xin Min and Funny Senior both texted me when i was back in my room, both asked me not to worry too much…

Why am i saying all these? i’m not quite sure myself.. haha…

actually, because my friends knew i wasn’t okay.. on tue, they came up with something that touched my heart!

i received a text from louise on tue evening that we’ll be having dinner late… but by 6.25pm i received no news on dinner so i was kinda scared cuz canteen closes at 6.30pm…

suddenly, i received this: Sorry… i now got some problem.. sth lost!! can u cum over my room 1st??(from louise)

i went to her room with mandy and to my surprise 12 KFC snack plates were spread out on the floor… WHAT is GOING ON??!! *big grins at them*

they bought KFC for dinner and surprised me wit it to cheer me up!

both Xin Min and Louise went thru all the trouble to get 12 snack plates and drinks back from KFC which is situated near UNI hospital with the help of Zhe Ying(sorry.. i know wrong spelling) and they nearly had not enuf money too…

they were super SWEET… they were quite SAMPAT as well… haha…

Am uber grateful to be able to know them and be friends with them…

Tang Lung Parade

Two mondays ago, my residential college had a tang lung festival… the main thing in the event was to go on a tang lung parade towards the varsity lake which was quite far from my coll… neways, after all the speeches and such, we had towards varsity lake with our tang lungs… it was a nice experience… hehe… yea… pretty cool… take a look at the photos of it…

okay… am back to continue my trip to cameron…

*okay… something random about the trip… before retiring for the nite on the last nite, we went round walking and i saw something which really differed from my room… take a look…*

neways, back to trip,

after breakfast, we had short briefing and then we left for tea farm… upon reaching the tea farm, we had to hike up the hill for 45 minutes… during the hike, we took pics as well…

 After the 45 minutes ‘hike’, we reached the Boh Tea Deck and Factory… went to look around at the factory and also drank some tea… took pics at the deck and then we gathered to go down the hill.. before leaving the Boh tea place, we placed our orders for Strawberry, cuz we didn’t have time to go to the Strawberry farm…

after ordering, we left for foothill, we took a ’shortcut’ and walked in the tea plantation in single file… giler tiring and it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the foothill…

We had to climb between the tea plantation to get back to the bus.. took us 1 and 1/2 hours to reach... tiring!

i was one of the last batch to reach the foothill as the others hitchhiked on some trucks down while my friends and i walked … didn’t want to buy anything so i bought ice cream only… boarded bus soon after and then, we went back to hostel… upon reaching, we had lunch and then gathered for a session of sharing… juniors were asked to expressed how was the trip and the seniors were asked the same questions as well…  after that, we had group photo session… that took quite a while and it was quite tiring as i was stuck in between some people… then after group photo, we left and boarded the bus…

Slept the 1st part of the journey… 2nd part, i stayed awake and talked to Kit Meng and Khim Khim… they are pretty funny people la… haha… reached back at coll at about 7.45pm and had dinner while they distributed strawberries… went up to room at about 8pm and at 9.30pm, i went down for strawberry party.. haha.. my friends and i decided to finish some strawberries as they were starting to spoil.. then, we headed up to room to sleep… it was a pretty tiring trip…

How did i benefit from it? i bonded alot with my friends… especially L… i had fun and also bonded with my seniors… but coming back from trip also got me really stressed as i had a really hectic week ahead… the burden on my shoulder came back once i stepped back into coll.. i was stressed on sun itself thinking about the week ahead…

 All in all, a good trip and i don’t regret going for it… cheers…

CCC Trip

I’m posting about the trip first cuz according to the clock right now it’s 3.27pm and at this time last week, if i’m not wrong, we just boarded Bus 1, heading for Cameron! woot!

Well, After spending a nite at home on Thurs, i went back to coll on Friday afternoon… Upon reaching coll, i continued packing my stuff for THE Trip( the long awaited one) After packing, i met XMin downstairs and i thot i was the only one bringing a luggage bag *scary okay if i was the ONLY one bringing so many things* she brought a luggage bag too.. haha.. anyways, we went to Pokok Tanjung and waited for the others to come down.. that was about 2.10pm i think… Scheduled time to leave was 2.30pm.. Neways, soon people started to come down and XMin, Mandy and I were looking at which seniors would be coming along… Saw quite a few seniors and Miko and Funny Senior came down as well, from the guys, we knew quite a few of them like Adrian and Jimmy… Soon, they started taking photos… like this…

Anyways, we joked around and took other photos (which i will post on Facebook ) we had an official photographer also.. her name is Khim Khim and she’s the only girl in coll who has a Nikon D40..  I want!! haha… another day la… i shall be contented with playing around wit Cool 1’s D80.. *grins*

Back to the trip, Bus 2 left 1st and well, all Bus 1 people waited until like 3pm to leave.. Sat with Adrian while XMin and Mandy sat beside me on the other aisle… Bus left about 3.30 i think or earlier.. anyways, during the bus ride, we sang the CC songs and the Camp theme song which my ’smart’ friends called out MY name when they asked for volunteers… the theme song is actually in Chinese and my ’smart’ friends jokingly called out my name… giler embarrasing la.. told them i couldn’t sing la since i’m Banana… haha.. so yea.. playfully whacked XMin for doing that.. lol! Neways, after a while, they stopped singing and all went to slumberland til we reached Tapah and met up with Bus 2… Had toilet break and then, we continued travelling. Talked and slept again cuz we starting going up the hill and i was bored… friends were also sleeping… after a while, i couldn’t sleep anymore and so i looked at the surrounding view which by that time, we could barely see anything cuz it was startin to get dark…

We reached the Hostel at about 8 or 9 pm… It was the same Hostel i went to 7 years ago for My very 1st youth camp.. so i sorta know the place… We unloaded the luggage and went for dinner… after dinner we had sang some songs again and then we were broken up into different animal groupings.. mine was Duck… after groupings, we played a few games that has to be paired up… girls paired with guys BUT since there were so few guys, girls could pair up with girls… but they didn’t allow guys to pair up with guys.. haha… one might think that they are trying to match make people.. lol! neways, after a few games, they taught us a ballroom dance which was really cool la.. i wasn’t paired up with a guy so yea… haha… didn’t mind that tho.. cuz all the guys were pretty much taken edi… after learning the steps and completing the whole dance without stopping, we had another dance… they off all the lights and closed all doors.. all that’s left was a flickering light like discos and some upbeat music… guys started break – dancing and girls started jumping and cheering.. then, we did the train thingy where everyone was connected to each other and we started running around the room… FUN!! haha..  after that, everyone was tired so we rested… outside the hall was so cooling that we just stood outside and waited till we were asked to gather again.. had biscuits… then, we decided who to room with.. my room was to fit 16 people and so there were Mandy( as room leader), Xin Min, Me, Funny Senior, Miko, Ying Jing, Khim Khim, Wen Xing, Siew Peng, Adele, Adele’s roommate, Stef, Louise, Suet Wei, and Elensha.

By about 12am, Bus 3 people arrived and we welcomed them by standing in 2 lines at the hall door and sang some welcoming song. saw our friends and shouted out to them… we weren’t like our normal selfs edi.. lol! they went for their dinner and then, we gathered into our animal groups again… after that, we went to our rooms and by 12.30pm, we had to gather to do another few more things in our group to prepare for the next day… We had to write a script for drama the next day and decide on group name, group leader, group cheer and group slogan.. once we’ve done all that, we were allowed back to our rooms..washed up and we all sat at louise’s bed to talk about various stuff, like Mandy’s love story and we got to know more about the seniors in our room.. the seniors got to know us, juniors… took photos also… we went to bed about 3.30am if i remember correctly…

At 6.30am, i woke up and washed up. Went down for breakfast at 7.30am… then, we took some photos at the back of the hostel as some of my friends needed to wash cups after using them…

After intro of all the groups, we left for station games… we had about 4 stations and each station, there were 2 tasks to complete.. after station games, we had to take some photos and also find our own way back to the hostel as we went to a park for station games.. we took a really nice group photo.. which i wil post up when i get it from the group leader…

we had to take photos of something weird, a couple, a group picture and the most beautiful scenery. these are the photos i tried to take… not to fulfil the task la… haha..

neways, we found our way back and we had lunch… then, submitted the photos for the last task.. went up to room to rest and went to gather in the main hall again for another event.. we needed to present the photos we took… went up with my group leader and guess what my ‘Smart’ friends did again… they shouted out to me, “Speak in mandarin” =_=” embarrasing again… announced that i can’t.. aih.. these people never seem to let me off the hook…

after presenting our photos, we played another game where one group member will try to guess a phrase that the rest of the members will describe in English.. the group member will need to say the phrase in mandarin… Naughty Ducks managed to guess 11.. we were one of the highest… woot! after that game, they announced the winners for the best photo for all the categories… Guess what Naughty Duck won?? We won the best group photo cuz we took a photo of all of us sitting in a love shape.. our explaination for the photo was, we are friends and plus love = world like the theme of the camp… haha.. so cool rite? kudos to group leader who explained it that way… after announcement of winners, we then, had some time to prepare for our sketch/drama… practised and went for dinner at about 6.30pm… rested some bit and then, sketch started at 7pm… The story that we acted out was about Superman and Spiderman plus Sailormoon and Spiderman’s wife… it’ll b quite confusing if i explain it here.. so if you wanna kno, ask me personally.. hehe… after all the sketches, we had a short rest which turned into a pretty long one cuz we all went into a photo frenzy! Everyone started taking photos with everyone… like these…

After taking loads of photos, the people – in  – charge quieten us down and said that they wil be announcing the winners… they announce the various categories and the final award of the nite, The Best Group: Horse Group(Da Ma Chai)

Ducks didn’t win but our score was 2nd highest i think… we weren’t sad nor disappointed… we had a GREAT time over all..

After announcement of winners, we moved on the the next event where we needed to be blind – folded.. We were then put together with someone who we might or might not know… and with that, we were suppose to share what’s in our hearts without holding back… i was paired up with a few poeple, a girl named Jia Ci(not sure of spelling), a guy whose is an ex – 3rd, with Cat( i know her), then the last one was with two person, Jia Wen( i kinda know her) and an ex- 3rd whom i forgot her name… I didn’t really fulfill the purpose of the SHARING session cuz the people i met didn’t really click with me.. i planned to share but i just didn’t feel like it when i met the people… it felt all awkward la.. so yea.. kinda sad that this session didn’t went the way i wanted it to…  but yea.. that aside, after we all took our blind -folds off, we sang the trip song and some friends cried… i felt like it but didn’t… then, the senior Bananas decided to intro the Banana song.. it was cool.. will post up the song one day.. ehehee… My friends and i went up on stage to join the seniors cus we are all Bananas.. Dun know how to speak mandarin… lol…

After that session, we all went up to our rooms and washed up… Louise, Elen, XMin, Khim Khim, Stef and I went to walk around and played cards as well.. then we went back into room and chatted until 3.30am again… while getting ready for slumberland, suddenly we heard a “CREAK!!!” that woke the whole room up… XMin accidently pushed the ladder to her bunk bed and caused that sound… Khim Khim, Suet Wei, Louise and I were laughing non stop… hahah… XMin, you are super funny!

Slept and woke up at 7am this time, washed up, packed stuff and went for breakfast…

* Since i need to head to church now… i shall continue about the last day of the trip the next time i come online… i didn’t imagine typing this would be so long… lol..*

Guess what happened yesterday???

*okay before i start explainin what this is all about, i wanna say that i’m NO longer annoyed or angry or whatever you wanna call it..*

Last night, i stayed back cuz of THE meeting(Photography unit meeting) at 11pm.. double checked with leader and he said to go down at 10.15pm….

at 9 something, i went to Louise’s room to hang cuz my room was super humid and i was getting bored of doing my homework there… it was hilarious hanging out in her room… she’s super fun… haha..

went down for THE meeting at 10.15, only about 3 out of 10 members arrived excluding the leader who was there… waited for the main person to arrive… time:10.45pm…

played with camera and talked with the other members which still remained the 4 of us… time:11pm

i was getting impatient… *i know i’m suppose to be patient but i could have spent that time hanging out summore in Louise’s room and talk or go mamak with senior*

neways, time:11.10pm.. leader said wait till 11.30pm, if the main person doesn’t come, we’ll just cancel it…

i flippin waited til 11.25pm, i decided to cabut edi… earlier dad called and he said he’ll pick me up after meeting.. so i went back to pack and at that time, i was trying very hard not to get angry or annoyed… still i felt sufffocated with the flippin system and people… sheesh…

today, the main person msg-ed and said sorry, he fell asleep without realising it…

once, i waited for an hour for the event to start so that i can take pics for the editorial board..

these people don’t seem to be able to keep their time…

not only that, i realised that those seniors i used to know during MHS or during the 1st few weeks of uni…

they have sorta disappeared..

only a few are left…which i usually meet during meal time…

i was trying so hard to not feel any negative feelings nor have any prejudice.. i still am i think…

just wanna let it out…

don’t want it to plague me for the rest of the weekend…

just for this few minutes.. they are hopeless… i can’t believe them!

i’ll finish with this year of projects and then i’m done with it… if i can’t stay in coll, i don’t mind no more…

OD

can anyone out there tell me whether is it possible to OD(over dose) on Rubella vaccination?? lol.. yea… am REALLY wondering… cuz i took another jab of it yesterday… mom said i’d already taken it when i was young, so by taking it again yesterday, will i OD on it??

*on a random note, the acronym OD reminds me about OCD and Aimee.. hahaha… hilarious gurl… who’s in AIMST… AIMEE=AIMST..come back and meet up soon k *

the only possible side effects of it was prob i NEARLY fainted yesterday not too long after taking the jab… this is the 2nd time i nearly fainted la dei! which NEVER happened before except a few months ago when i tripped on the escalators in a train station… do i have low sugar level?? how can it be?? shud prolly go for medical check up la… see la… neways, after a few minutes of the jab, my ears were blocked and i couldn’t hear my friends clearly… i couldn’t really see clearly as well cuz it all seemed so bright… friends took me to the clinic and i was asked to bend my head down while taking deep breaths… the nurse massaged my back and handed me a cup of glucose… felt better after a few minutes and i was already late for Phonetics which is my fav class.. rushed SLOWLY(oxymoron phrase) to class… thank GOD lecturer wasn’t annoyed and i didn’t want to miss class cuz i haven’t missed class so far…. even for Carnival day…

neways, really thank God for my friends who were there and yea for protection ler…

 

btw, i realised that i haven’t talked about carnival yet…

last sat, i went for class at 9 until guess what time??

1.30 pm

woot! lecturer used lunch time and cut off another hour… hehe…

managed to reach carnival 5 minutes before 3pm…

at least got about 2 hours to play and walk around… 

when i reached there, i bought my lunch which consists of nasi kunyit (which was not bad), 2 pau, 1 packet of sushi and soya bean drink…

after eating, i went and walked around with BenT… didn’t buy anything so i decided to use my coupons on games…

oh and my uni friends all couldn’t come… but will try again at another event…

after walking around with ben, Yee Neng and Sha – Mayne (my ex-students in CERC) said they wanted to dunk me on the dunking machine(the youth’s game booth was a dunking machine), so i went and sat at the dunking machine…(no pics sorry.. heh)

yee neng’s chance was given to Matthew(my other student who’s extremely shy except in class), who managed to be the 1st to dunk me… then, next was miss suh shian,then some guy from my primary school… and then, the booth people who just wanted to play… my dad also dunked me… lol… it was fun la but cold after a while…

that day ended well, was actually suppose to go swimming with sis but got back late so didn’t.. have been swimming in the morning on most Saturdays.. so yea… need to exercise more.. lol…

all in all, thank God i managed to enjoy the carnival tho i was late…

have got a meeting at 11pm tonight.. funny timing again eh?? and i’m going home tmr morning… yay! weekends are here… backing up for youth service worship on sat, then, on sun have got core meeting, before that, i’m going for a game of pool prolly?

*Am in the midst of analysing sounds when i realised something nice….*

 

I haven’t been hanging out with my best friends for a few months edi… and i mean, really spending time over a meal or something, talking about our lives and also about various stuff la..

and i just realised that i managed to go out with the two of them(on separate days) this week…

which surprised me in a way because the last time we chatted over a meal was in january and the closest thing to hanging out that we had after the meal was prolly when i bought subway cookies and they ate it in a secluded corner cuz if anyone of the youths noticed it, they might come over and say, “can i have a bite please?” which was a month and a half ago…

hmmm… these things just seem to happen with out me realising it and it kinda cheers me up…

am looking forward to them, Lord, really am…

yesterday i hung out at Sahur also with a bunch of peeps before my really long meeting(which started at 10.30[which was suppose to start at 10pm] and ended at 12 when i was suppose to attend another meeting at 10.30……) so yea.. i just realised that i need a break from my room every now and then… *cuz currently, my room is feeling really humid and i can feel the heat…*

so yea…

from the previous post, i’m feeling much better… must think happy thots… must..must…

happy days during STPM… i can’t believe i’m missing my form 6 eventho it was HORRIBLE HARD… i guess the people i went thru it with made it better….

 

 

all the library trips with Banana(former twin),Sandya and Mei Leng… 

 

shall get back to my work… internet connection is acting up again.. aih… sot sot…
