Roads crossed

Yesterday was a very PACKED day indeed…

Shopped in the morning and watched NARNIA… to me it was GOOD and there were some truths in which i’ve learned thru the show…

For instance, the part where Aslan asked Lucy why she didn’t look for Aslan or went to see him when she saw him even when the others couldn’t see him and she said she was scared…

It’s the same wit God, because others don’t see him or believe that he’s there, do we deny that he exist even when he appears only to us? or do we let go when things just seem to go wrong every turn that we take and we are tempted to give in?

We shud look for Him not Him looking for us… We shud stand up and move not sit and pout and try all kinds of things only to realise that we shud meet Him where he’d revealed Himself to us at the very beginning of it all…. Not an easy lesson learned…

i admit hard times are VERY hard to hang on but i do try and i’m still trying when that time comes because it makes me stronger to face other challenges ahead… but like i said… not an easy lesson to go thru la…

hmmm…

neways, next i went to United Live concert… helped to sell stuff for United Live so was basically in for the concert late and out of the concert early…. but i did enjoy the concert… Worshipped my heart out and so did sis… i think she had an experience that she won’t forget la…

Left there at about 11 and was exhausted!

 

Okay why the title?

i crossed roads with old frens and made a new acquaintance or two at the concert…

Met old schoolmates and chatted a while…

Tab intro me a to A and somehow she seemed familiar, like i’d seen her some where BUT anyways that wouldn’t have happened la… haha… but A’s nice… heh… if there’s a chance i might want to get to know her but ah wells, if it’ll happen, the roads will cross once again someday…

Met another girl in tab’s car, didn’t realise that i’d seen her before in HUGE camp… realised it after like half an hour or so… haha… cuz she wasn’t wearing her specs… so yea…

 

Was just out wit old school mates(SMKBBSP-ians) and i realised that i’ve been out of contact with them for so long… i’m seriously so outdated but i wouldn’t really want to know who’s dating who and such because why do i need to kno or prob just in case i dun say the wrong thing la… i dun know… but it was a good time of chatting and getting to know what have they been up to and such… another day where my road crossed wit many other roads… and then we parted ways of course and we were talking about when’s the next time to meet… 2 years time or 10 years time? hehe… jokers… but really some of them i haven’t seen for nearly 5 years… that’s how long la…. oh wells…

 

got to go off… tmr another day of dealing wit question and answers… hopefully i’ll be able to get all the info i need for the meeting on sat… scary cus mae’s not around to present it wit me… what happens when she leaves? sigh…

I’ll be able to do it cus He’s there SUPPORTING me! Amen..

Neways, after getting tix , i had time to walk around with frens so we went window shopping and Rach managed to buy a formal top… hehe… it’s 50%off some more..

Had an AWESOME time of fellowship and we joked and laughed and took pics with Judd… i LOVE taking pics with Judd… i’ll get the pics from rach soon… hehe…

I enjoyed myself… hopefully the others did too… i knew my sis enjoyed it too…

So yea… tmr, i’ll do some shopping and narnia and UNITED LIVE!!! yay!! haha… can’t wait… but i’m helping wit selling some stuff so prob i’ll be in late and out early… dun know la… anyhoos… I think i can enjoy myself some how… it’s 50 bucks wei! and sis is coming along… hopefully she’ll find it an experience la…

Teachers’ Day 2008

Guess what??

 

Last Fri, CERC celebrated Teachers’ Day! Haha… and it’s the 1st time i was in a teachers’ day celebration as a ‘teacher’ (which i’m actually NOT cuz i’m a FACILITATOR) neways, to me, it was an experience la… haha… there were many items and we, facilitators, had to sing a song and do a dance(line dance):p

Then, the students had testimonies and presentations, i enjoyed Su-Yi’s dance, instrumental by Kimmie and Natalie,band performance(altho it was pretty loud and i couldn’t really hear the lyrics), Song by the Omega gurls accompanied by Lauren on the piano.

Had games(a bit messy BUT fun – lil Catherine wanted me to piggy bag her.. lol…)

Had lunch after that… Lamb… a nice change altho it was suppose to be beaf steak… haha…

Then was the awards… guess what my title was???

MOST COOL!!!

haha… will post up my cert next time…

had free style dance competition after that, which i would say if i did have the choice to do it or not, i’ll opt out but since every facilitator did it, i went along wit it…

Neways, over all, it was enjoyable… hehe… a memorable day indeed!

How have i been? been busy la and FINALLY i’ve got 2weeks hol!!! yea!!! haha.. united live is next week! watching narnia next week! 2nd week of hols i’ll be heading to penang for leadership summit… abit scary cuz parents not going, mae not going as well… but SF is going to be there… so yea…. rooming wit her… so it’s gonna be cool…

celebrated Pam’s and Boss’ birthday…

announced that Joel and Andrew are leaving Chi…

Chi was exceptionally quiet….

Talked about prayer and i shared that most of the hard times, we need to continue praying… continue hanging on to the fact that He’s there…

was in a situation like this last year and i felt like i couldn’t feel anything or that i couldn’t feel Him… It was like the Desert Place in Songs of Songs… HUGE camp speaker said that we should be like the ‘Beloved’ in the scripture…. it thot me alot of stuff and somehow i think i’m stronger from it…

After that, was choir and had fun with the activity we had for these two weeks… i mean i need to sing with more feeling… so yea… gotta improve on that..

 

Btw, been watching movies and for now, my fav movie is August Rush… it’s AWESOME.. i could feel what the boy was feeling… the songs are AWESOME… Made me wanna go watch Philharmonic… haha… Prob i shud, for my bday or soemthing… neways, it’s something in which i wanna experience la… listening to an orchestra..

 

Bought the tix to United Live… Am excited to go!!! Hehe… that’s about all for now….

Aih…

Guess what happened on monday??

Got into an accident… my second accident and it’s with the SAGA.. the NEW SAGA… sigh….

Neways, hopefully everything is settled la… the other party’s damage was much worse than mine… and i’ve got to use my one month’s salary to pay for the repairs topped by parents… so yea,

BUT

Thank God for protection… especially on the ppl i was ferry-ing to a place… so yea… really thank God that nothing serious happened…

well, just hoping that it’s all okay…

Parents were upset but didn’t scold…

They are just worried la…i understand but i felt REALLY lousy after it happened… literally stoned on the way driving back… didn’t like the feeling… was basically in my own world, could express myself… like i was locked in somewhere because i didn’t know what to do or expect from my parents… so yea… that’s about it i guess…

Labour Day?!

Had a good time spending time wit sis and frens… lol…

Oh wait… backtrack 1st…. the nite before, i went to pick lien yiny and anna up for dinner… so long didn’t see these ppl edi… we went to Uncle R… li lian meet us there and then when we finished dinner, wen yan arrived… then we headed for ROUND 2, Sweet Bean… went there for Sweet Soup(tong sui) (haha… it was printed in their menu, and i’m not joking….) hung out there and i kept yawning… haha.. sorry la… had PE in the morning wit the kids and made them run wit me… lol… then straight away after work, went to pick ppl up… made history in my working life that day too… had the most test papers to mark…lol… neways, we caught up on each others life and yea.. basically i enjoyed myself… got pics but it’s wit lien yiny… hehe… will get it from her soon….

 

 

Neways, back to labour day,

i went to midvalley wit sister… cuz i need to get pressie for the person turning 21… i had lunch wit sis at Suhsi – Zen… wanted to try the ramen there…

 

 

Will probably post up more pics when i’ve got better connection…. neways, after lunch, we walked around and went to get a belt from FOS, sharing it.. hehe..then we went to JuiceWorks.. which is by far my fav juice shop only that it’s expensive so once in a blue moon la… haha… Parents picked us up after that and rested for a while and then went of for OUG pasar MALAM… lol…

we(Brian,Shawn,Shermain and Amanda) arrived and met up wit them(Mae, Ian and Tab) at Steven’s Corner, headed off to the 1st shop on the agenda…

 

 

CHOW TO FU!!!

wanted to try it out since some said it’s nice and some commented on it’s WONDERFUL smell… lol… actually it smells like longkang water and it tastes like it too… it’s bearable… try it once and i’ll choose not to eat it unless i need to la… so yea.. it was an experience la…Next we went to lok lok… had fishball and meatballs and such… shawn had liver and all the bloody looking stuff… ahaha… which would have tasted horrible to me… aint no like liver especially pig liver….

neways, next we headed to walk around and shopped around…

had mango lolo and tong yuen tau fufah.. which was okay la… then, most of them had curry fishballs and hand made dumpling…

then, we took pics and crammed into Tab’s car and went home… i basically had GREAT fun hanging out wit frens especially church frens in a pasar malam… which is the 1st time la…btw, i met sentosa ppl there as well, they were surprised to see me la.. haha.. cuz the last time i went to pasar malam wuz a VERY long time ago… especially the OUG one…

 

 

well, that’s all about Labour Day… didn’t rest but had GREAT fun… haha… enjoyed the dinner wit school mates the nite before and the whole of Labour day too… hmmm… when’s the next time i can do it again… tired tired me….
